About a month or so ago I got an email from my camera club ( Bon Accord) passing on a message that a charity was looking for some volunteers to take pictures at the Baker Hughes 10K on the 18/05/14. As I was free that day I went for it, thought be good practice for my photography and something different to do. The charity was Inspire ( Partnership Through Life), http://www.inspireptl.org.uk/, which is a charity for the North East of Scotland helping children, young adults and adults with learning disabilities and additional support needs. They do a wide range of work so if interested in finding out the more best idea is to have a look at their website. Quite a few of my patients are involved with this charity in various of ways so even happier that I got to help out today.
A real highlight of the day was to get the chance to hear their motivation speaker: Kenny Herriot ( http://www.kennyherriot.co.uk/ ). Kenny was man very much into his sports and fitness then in 2000 in a freak motorcycle accident he was paralysed from the waist down. Has that stopped him? Very much no! To hear what he has gone onto achieve and is achieving is amazing. ” Bad things happen to everyone – its how you handle them that makes you different ” When you stand and listen to someone like that speak you realise there really are no excuses, we get out of life what we put in to it.
Really enjoyed being there and taking pictures through the whole process for the runners. Most of the photos are just generic ones rather than of the charity runners, will leave that up to Inspire PTL for what they want to do with the photos I took.

A very enjoyable and inspiring morning. Something that I was happy and proud to be apart of and will remember for the rest of my life.
